Fieldmouse Press is launching a brand new Kickstarter campaign to publish Siyuan Wen’s WE WILL NO LONGER HAVE TO COVER EACH OTHER’S WOUNDS, a story of a man who has to come to terms with the death of his estranged mother after a horrifying incident separated them when he was young. Told in a collection of painful memories, Siyuan explores the shared history of family, the need for human connection, and the effects of trauma on those connections.

An excerpt of WE WILL NO LONGER HAVE TO COVER EACH OTHER’S WOUNDS won the 2023 Minicomics Award in the Autobio/Nonfiction section under Siyuan Wen’s pen name, Edgar. We’re very excited to bring the entire story to readers. The Kickstarter campaign will launch on July 10th, and will offer readers a chance to get some special backer exclusives, and continue to support Fieldmouse Press’ publishing.

We’ve decided to come back to Kickstarter for this campaign after recent discussions with members of their team. We initially launched our publishing platform on Kickstarter, and now that they have turned away from the Kickstarter Blockchain Protocol, we feel comfortable returning to the service and reconnecting with readers who continue to use the platform. The campaign will run for 30 days, and our goal is $7500, which supports the publication of the book.
