Announcing – Julia Gootzeit’s GOLEM PIT 224, Live on Kickstarter on February 1st

Hi friends – Alex Hoffman here, Publisher of Fieldmouse Press, interrupting SOLRAD’s regular programing to let you know about our latest book!

Fieldmouse Press is launching a brand new Kickstarter campaign to publish Julia Gootzeit‘s GOLEM PIT 224. Julia is a cartoonist, illustrator, and zinemaker from Carboro, North Carolina, and has been a part of the indie comics scene for many years. She’s been working on an amazing new graphic novel over the last two years, and we’re excited to get it into readers’ hands! The campaign will run for 30 days, and our goal is $7000, which supports the publication of the book.

GOLEM PIT 224 is about a queer couple, Kelsey and Thea, who go on a camping trip to explore an unusual landform – the Exclusion Zone Golem Pit 224. What was promised as a fun couple’s camping trip turns out to be something much more eerie and strange, and as Kelsey and Thea’s relationship teeters on the brink, the landscape around them starts to change in unexpected ways.

In order to give SOLRAD readers a taste of what the comic is all about, here’s an excerpt of the book for your reading pleasure:

The campaign went live this morning, and we hope you’ll lend us your support to publish this beautiful debut!

SOLRAD is made possible by the generous donations of readers like you. Support our Patreon campaign, or make a tax-deductible donation to our publisher, Fieldmouse Press, today.
