Deshan is a Sri Lankan writer of (mostly) children’s fiction. He wrote 17 storybooks for Think Equal for their global SEL curriculum and his middle-grade graphic novel is forthcoming from Oni Press (2021). His short comics have been published by Image Comics, ShortBox and Inkbrick, while his comic Metta Helmet shared the Eisner and Ignatz Awards in the Elements: Fire anthology by Beyond Press. He wrote an overview of Sri Lankan design for the Bloomsbury Encyclopaedia of Asian Design and to recover he wrote and drew a 50-page absurdist comic about time, soup and god. Instagram: @onlinedesho
