After Ari Richter’s parents joined a sleepy, Reform synagogue in exurban Florida, a small but organized right-wing cohort took over the temple’s board during Trump’s first term, enacting a MAGA-inspired agenda. Ari Richter is a visual artist, cartoonist and professor. He is the author of Never Again Will I Visit Auschwitz: A Graphic Family Memoir of Trauma & Inheritance (Fantagraphics Books). The grandson of Holocaust survivors and son of therapists, he lives in New York with his wife and daughters. More at aririchter.com and @ari.richter
