We have a special treat for you today – an exclusive extract of Julia Kluge’s To Be A Brave Scout from Rotopol, based in Germany. In this 32-page comic, Kluge invites readers to wondrous adventures in nature. In a tongue-in-cheek way, she shares all kinds of impressions from the lives of brave scouts – from hiking at sunrise to picking delicious berries and camping under the stars. I’m especially impressed with Kluge’s colors, which are an enchanting part of the work.
Julia Kluge works as an illustrator and artist in Leipzig. She studied communication design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle and completed a master’s degree in illustration at the Berlin University of the Arts.
