Gianluca Costantini is an Italian comics journalist and activist. In the United States, he collaborates with the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), NYC Anarchist Black Cross, Crucial Comix, World War 3 Illustrated, and DAWN (Democracy for the Arab World Now). He is the author of the graphic memoir Zodiac, created with Ai Weiwei and published by Penguin Random House. In 2019, he received the Human Rights and Art Award from Amnesty International Italy. His most recent books include Xi Jinping: The Silent Emperor and Volodymyr Zelensky – The Voice of the People, both published in France by Éditions Delcourt.
