To whet your appetite, we have an exclusive preview of The Delicacy, the third graphic novel by James Albon from Top Shelf Productions. In this suspenseful drama, two brothers, Rowan and Tulip, leave their home in Scotland to make a living in London on an upscale restaurant concept. But the work seems impossible until they discover a new and incredibly delicious fungi… but will this discovery cause fame, or misfortune? James Albon is well known for his beautiful illustrative style, and this book seems even more lovely than his last; The Delicacy will be published this week.

James Albon is a cartoonist, illustrator, and writer from Scotland. His short comic “Madame & Me” was a finalist in the Guardian/Comica/Cape Award in 2017, he was awarded the Gwen May Award from the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 2012, and has been a Laureate of the Rene Carcan Biennale in 2014 and 2020. His previous books are Her Bark & Her Bite (2016) and A Shining Beacon (2019), all published by Top Shelf.
