PELICAN BASTARDS is about a quartet of madcap seabirds — Ivan, Glenn, Jamie, and Claude — who realize that they can exploit their bird powers and get away with all stripes of mischief, mayhem, and murder.

MICHAEL AUSHENKER began his career as the author/illustrator of the picture book Get That Goat! (Landmark Editions).
He is also the comic book cartoonist of such adult-skewing humor comics as Chipmunks & Squirrels, the El Gato, Crime Mangler series, and Those Unstoppable Rogues while anthology credits include Heavy Metal magazine and Duplex Planet Illustrated (Fantagraphics). His kid comics include writing issues of Bart Simpson (Bongo Comics) and Gumby’s Gang Starring Pokey (Gumby Comics).
Michael is currently associate editor of Comic Book Creator magazine (TwoMorrows) and lead writer of Acme Ink’s metal/punk biographical comics. He lives in Montecito, California.
